DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME DEPARTMENT OF LAW Co-Chair Mulder noted that the Department of Corrections would not be addressed. DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION Chair Representative Mulder reviewed the proposed conference committee motions for the Department of Administration (see attached motion sheets). Representative Grussendorf OBJECTED to the elimination of the Alaska Professional Development Institute, in item 4, Department of Administration. He WITHDREW his objection. Representative Grussendorf OBJECTED to the House number on item 14, Pioneers Homes, -$514.0 thousand dollars. Senator Parnell asked that a separate vote be taken on item 16. There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. Representative Grussendorf asked if the $350 thousand dollar reduction to the Division of Motor Vehicles is contained elsewhere in the budget. Chair Representative Mulder explained that the funds are shown in the front section. Senator Parnell MOVED to ADOPT the proposed conference committee amounts for all items except items 14 and 16 for the Department of Administration (see motion sheets). There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. Representative Grussendorf spoke in support of the Senate number for item 14, Pioneers Homes, -$308.1 thousand dollars. Senator Parnell MOVED to ADOPT the House number for item 14, -$514.0 thousand dollars. Senator Adams OBJECTED. He MOVED to AMEND the motion by reducing the reduction from $514.0 thousand dollars to $308.1 thousand dollars. A roll call vote was taken on the motion. The Department of Administration was closed with the exception of item 16. DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND GAME Co-Chair Mulder Chair Representative Mulder reviewed the proposed conference committee motions for the Department of Fish and Game (see attached motion sheets). Senator Parnell MOVED to HOLD item 5, unallocated reduction to the Department of Fish and Game of $127 thousand dollars. There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. Senator Parnell MOVED to HOLD item 6, department wide 1.5 percent general fund unallocated reduction. There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. Senator Parnell MOVED to ADOPT the proposed conference committee amounts for all items except items 5 and 6 for the Department of Fish and Game (see motion sheets). DAVID TEAL, DIRECTOR, LEGISLATIVE FINANCE DIVISION pointed out that the proposed motion for item 1 would be to adopt part of the House version and part of the Senate version. He suggested that the Senate amount should be adopted with a fund source change. He noted that $383.6 thousand dollars in federal receipts should be changed to general funds. Senator Parnell WITHDREW the MOTION. There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. Senator Parnell MOVED to ADOPT the proposed conference committee amounts for items 2, 3 and 4 for the Department of Fish and Game (see motion sheets). There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. Chair Representative Mulder noted that the first letter of intent would be held (copy on file). Senator Parnell MOVED to ADOPT the House intent language for the Department of Fish and Game, Sport Fisheries (copy on file). Representative Grussendorf observed that the intent language supports a 50 percent reduction at the Crystal Lake Hatchery. There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. The Department of Law was closed with the exception of items 1, 5, 6 and letter of intent I. DEPARTMENT OF LAW Chair Representative Mulder reviewed the proposed conference committee motions for the Department of Law (see attached motion sheets). Representative Grussendorf discussed items 2 and 17. He noted that the department did not request the prosecuting attorney funded in item 2. He questioned if the amount in item 2 could be used to reduce the 1.5 percent department wide unallocated reduction. Senator Parnell spoke in support of item 2. Senator Parnell MOVED to ADOPT the proposed conference committee amounts for Department of Law. There being NO OBJECTION, it was so ordered. The Department of Law was closed.
